This Label or one very similar is required by law on ALL fiberglass insulation packaging. Label is subject to change according with federal law.


Warning label required by law on all fiberglass insulation products, regardless of manufacturer

WARNING: Contains fiberglass wool. Possible cancer hazard. To avoid this possible cancer hazard, minimize breathing fiberglass wool dust.

Use properly fitted NIOSH or MSHA approved disposable dust respirator such as 3M Model 8710 or 9900 ( In
high humidity environments ) or equivalent when :

* Installing or removing this product in confined or poorly ventilated spaces such as attics or crawl spaces. As an
extra precaution you may choose to wear a disposable dust respirator at all times.

MAY CAUSE IRRITATION TO SKIN, EYES AND RESPIRATORY TRACT.

* Avoid contact with eyes and skin
* Wear long sleeved, loose fitting clothing, gloves and eye protection when handling and applying material
* Wash with soap and warm water after handling
* Wash work clothes separately and wipe out washer

Fire Hazard : Kraft or foil face will burn.

* Protect facing from any open flame or heat source.
* Do not leave facing exposed; cover with ceiling, wall or floor finish material.

To avoid fire do not place Insulation over or within 3 inches of light fixtures or similar electrical devices, unless the fixture is designed and labeled for contact with insulation.

Use only unfaced insulation between wood framing and masonry chimneys. Do not place insulation in air spaces surrounding metal chimneys, fireplaces or flues.

Unfaced fiberglass insulation is considered noncombustible by the model building codes.
