ULTRA CBFTM is a patented under-concrete insulation product, comprised of a highly reflective aluminum sheet, sandwiched between two layers of industrial strength polyethylene bubbles. This unique design protects the reflective surface from corrosive chemicals and insures that an airspace is maintained for optimum thermal performance.

ULTRA CONCRETE BARRIER FOILTM is engineered specifically for use underneath concrete. It dramatically improves the performance of radiant heating systems and provides enhanced temperature maintenance for concrete floors.

Installing ULTRA CBFTM can result in noticeably warmer floors, faster slab response times and reduced BTU consumption of  radiant heating systems. Sealing seams with our approved CBF Seam Tape ensures a uniform insulator and vapor barrier.

     reflective surface, and a clear polyethylene surface. It is ideal for many under-slab insulation applications, as the
     reflective surface is treated with a coating designed to protect it from curing concrete. Using Ultra Concrete Underpad
     in your construction project can improve the efficiency of radiant heating systems, and significantly reduces heat loss
     to the ground below. Ultra Concrete Underpad is also an approved vapor barrier.

    Ultra Board

     Ultra BOARD™ is the ultimate insulator, combining the most effective components to yield R-5 and
     R-10 solutions.

     
      • A ¼” thick industrial strength layer of bubble-pack

      • A sheet of highly reflective, metalized aluminum;
      • Laminated to a sheet of 2 lbs. density expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam.
     
     The bubble-pack layer provides an impermeable membrane that provides protection against Radon 
     and Methane transfer. It also ensures that the entire board remains intact – even if it becomes
     cracked below.

     The reflective sheet of aluminum provides a radiant barrier surface – resulting in radiant heat being
     reflected up, towards the living space. Finally, the 1” or 2” thick EPS foam component, acts as a
     thermal barrier and greatly reduces conductive heat flow.
